This past Saturday our annual "March Birthdays" took place at my Dad's house. Linda, always the gracious hostess treated us to a wonderful dinner. We were all attacked by "Uno". (Yes, it is possible to be attacked by Uno!) The fun and excitement of boardgames lives on!
Mike & I also received a very unique birthday gift. A family of ducks were donated to a family in China by Dad & Linda. I never realized how one gift can make such a difference in the lives of others. Learn more about the gift of ducks
Secret Pals
One of the things we are doing while we wait is particpating with our internet friends in a "Secret Pals Gift of the Month" within our February/March DTC yahoo group. We were matched with a family and provided with interesting tidbits of information. Each month we send a Secret Pal gift based on a monthly theme and the interests of our matched family. In return, we receive a gift from our very own Secret Pals. This months theme was anything "ABC", or Alphabet related. Our secret pal gift went out last week and was received by our matched family. We can not say anything else because it is a SECRET.
Yeah!!
This morning Mike brought in the mail with a big smile on his face. We received our secret pal gift and needless to say immediately opened it. Our secret pals remembered our birthdays with separately addressed birthday cards :) How sweet!
We do not know who our secret pals are but somewhow they found out about my addiction to chocolate. Surprise secret pal candy started with the letters ABC (Almond Joy, Butterfingers, Crunch) for Mike, altoid gum, and chiclets for me. As I write this Mike and I have just shared the almond joy. We decided to go in alphabetical order with the candy:)
Our secret pals also sent us an adorable animal alphabet book with "zoo clues". I can't wait to share the alphabet book with our "Annie". Thanks secret pals you made our day!!!
