How many ways can you say thank you to the people who mean the most, your family. This week Mike & I were blessed in every which way that matters. But first things first.
Hugsnkisses to Linda for finding a site to access Asian Cabbage Patch Dolls.
Hugsnkissess to Jill & Mike for surprising Mike & I with a Cabbage Patch Doll. We are both proud to say we are the adoptive parents of Kylie Dakota from a land far away called surprisingly enough "Cabbage Patch Land" (only kidding!).
The night before Christmas Eve felt like it would last forever when you find yourself stuck at work with shrimp to shell, cheesecakes to bake, macncheese to prepare (Elise's favorite dish), etc. Christmas Eve proved that even when you are so tired you accidentally place floured shrimp in the shrimp with no flour dish, you can somehow get through with the help of a great sister in-law and supportive husband.
Christmas was full of surprises. A beautiful blanket for the child that awaits us. A Box of Everything. Tears of joy and hearts full of love.
On the adoption front, the homestudy was reviewed by the adoption agency and approved. Now we are waiting for the social worker to come back from vacation and send us the notarized final copy.
Till next year:)
Have a safe and happy new year!.

Here's where Cabbage Patch babies come from: http://www.cabbagepatchkids.com/pages/blgh_tour/tour_intro-frame.html (There's a link to tour the place at the bottom) Babyland General is about 30 minutes from our house, so maybe someday you, Mike, and Annie can come visit, and we can all take the grand tour! :)
