What a day!!! First my apologies for not posting sooner. After we returned from vacation we were so busy trying to catch up before I knew it we were within a few days of our Walk for Lauren. I just didn't feel comfortable posting about anything else until the walk was concluded. This time was meant for Lauren and that was that! It started out as a cloudy day with sprinkles but ended with nothing but smiles of sunshine all around! Kristen our "Team Captain" did such a great job of getting us all together for such a great event. We got there early, us city girls always worry about parking, even when there are a trillion and one parking spots available! We were not first, Vicky and the most adorable Emily beat us there! We noshed on bagels and juice provided by our local FCC chapter as well as snacks provided by the event organizers and then we were off to see really cute, tall, handsome, New York Jet Football players. Actually, I should revise that to Dee and Jen went to meet really cute, tall, handsome, New York Jet Football players. I know what your thinking where was I? I was busy chatting with Elise because we had absolutely no intention of having our adorable FCC t-shirts autographed. I haven't followed football in a while but Dee and Jen were beside themselves busting both my brothers chops with phone calls made to each of them. They even got a few players to speak to my brother Mike on the phone. My other brother lost out as he had his phone on voicemail. He was not a happy camper! After the opening ceremony we got the biggest surprise of all.
Lauren was there!!!! I gave her a big hug and had trouble keeping the tears in check. It meant so much to see her there. Her presence alone made that day what it was...
