Clean Water Project

I often wonder how well our children are being cared for while we wait to be matched. I wonder about the conditions in the orphanages, foster homes, and China as a whole. A Child's Right recently returned from a "Clean Water Project" that took place in China. I haven't had a chance to view all the photos but there are many from orphangaes and their villages.

and of course I ask...

as I look at the photos...

Is our child there?

Is yours?

Every day we can make a difference. What are you willing to do? I have many ideas but have yet to narrow it down. One of my friends discussed making quilts for her child's orphanage, another donating cleft-lip bottles, another clothes...

But it never dawned on me to worry about the water our child is drinking. How did that happen? We were told not to drink the water while in China, not to brush our teeth with public water, to drink only bottled water, etc.. I know that part of it is probably due to our differing immune systems and level of tolerance for unknown bacterias being introducted to our bodies. Just one more thing to obsess about while waiting.
