A little birdie reminded me I have not posted in a while.
I have thought about it.
Have you ever wanted to do something but just couldn’t bring yourself to do it?
Well, that is where I was. No time, no energy, and a real lack of motivation contributed to it as well. Here are some real LAME reasons for not posting:
My kids were draining me! Too many kids not enough teacher!
I am now officially teaching college students.
I am EXHAUSTED
The price you pay for working two jobs.
Too many late hours on the computer and too little sleep.
A weekend that just isn’t long enough.
How do you make it end?
You leave a job.
Three weeks ago I made the decision to leave my pre-school position. I decided to leave for a few reasons:
I am not suited for the daycare environment!
I wasn’t having fun anymore!
Too many really bad management changes to put it politely.
I was tired and missed my hubby. But as I reflect on all that I accomplished with my kids, I am happy with my decision. It was the best decision for me. There were many proud, sad, and often funny moments and I would like to share a few of them with you.
You know you are onto something big when..
You know you are onto something big when you watch in awe as your three year olds count their pretzel goldfish one at a time counting past twenty. When they started in your class they could only count to 5. When they eat a few fish (now there’s the fun), they can tell you how many they ate, and then re-count to tell you how many are left.
You know you are onto something big when your three year olds ask you if you will miss them when they are not in and they have no idea how much you really will.
You know you are onto something big when your three olds identify their first letter, their first word (besides their name), then writes it in scribble, and then in letter form.
You know you are onto something big when the language you have between you and your three olds has now become a part of their language at home.
You know you are onto something big when growing up is harder for you then for them as you watch them move out your door and into a new world of possibilities.
You know you are onto something big when your three old dances better than you.
You know you are onto something big when your three year old reminds you what comes next and they are RIGHT!
You know you are onto something big when that something big is truly bigger than you but every bit a part of you.
You know you are onto something big when the hardest the thing you feel you will ever have to do has happened…..you are leaving and your kids just think you are going on a really long vacation…..because how do you explain it so they will understand…..and how do you respond when one of them pleads with you not to go on that vacation...your heart is tearing....and torn in two by the time you leave the room...
And you end it with the saying you taught your three olds. The saying that you will remember always….
Finished, Finato, all done. The End!
I am back.
More posts are on their way. Just trying to catch up with life!
