Cookie Swap

The cookie swap exchange was a lot of fun. Thanks to my very special stepmom for setting it up! She made the most delicious tortellini soup and turkey chili which I was too full to try but it sure did smell fantastic. We also had the opportunity to sample the cookies and let me tell you I felt like Santa when I was done. Definitely not a low calorie night!

I am a bit of a slacker and running out of time with the holidays coming up. In fact my cookies have already been divided into cookie tins without one itsy bitsy photo, sorry folks.

Yes, I am a holiday slacker!

I will get the recipes up during the weekend when I will have a bit more time. In addition to the cookies I exhanged I also made an additional cookie and plan on a few more types this weekend. Maybe some itsy bitsy photos will make it.

This week has flown by......I spent tonight wrapping coloring books and preparing little snowman soup packages for my little ones! Lots of fun! I created personalized snowman tags and packaged it just so with the help of my mom :)

The snowman soup recipe my stepmom gave me and I now, after writing it out, fifteen times, know it by heart. So I'll share it with you:

Was told you have been good all year
Always glad to hear it
With freezing weather drawing near
You'll need to warm the spirit
So here's a little snowman soup
Complete with a stirring stick
Add hot water, sip it slow
It's sure to do the trick!

Ingredients:
Fifteen mini-marshmallows (I grabbed a big handful definitely too many!)
3 Hershey Kisses
1 envelope of hot choclate
1 Candy Cane

I put it all in a ziploc bag and then packaged it in my snowman treat bags. What fun!

I can't wait to see their little faces tomorrow but then again I'm sure I'll get a smile out of them.

I am going to wear my Christmas Lights (literally lights) socks courtesy of Sheila & Roger (another blog thank you overdue, this weekend promise!)
