Little Miracles

I'm back after a short hiatus. I have now officially joined the mobile world of interneting! I am posting from my couch in very comfy pj's with a sleeping cat at my side. How could I have waited this long? Mike & I decided that after waiting forever to make an investment like this one it was TIME! Now I haven't yet figured out all the perks or quirks but let's just say it is a much needed improvement. Now it wasn't all bad to be disconnected from the Internet but it did sadly remind me how dependent and necessary Internet access is in the real world. Especially, when I found myself dodging from work to the library or from home to the library. That just gets played out after a while. Besides there is a limit to how long you can stay on. I also love my wireless mouse though I haven't really needed it yet. There are still many things I need to figure out. Will I be able to use my printer? my scanner? Who knows! I am just reveling in the moment. Mike was pretty much glued to couch while I wrote out Holiday cards that should have gone out weeks ago.

It is also hard to believe that I missed a LID-versary. We watched as it passed us by December 7th. I hate to say it but I'm boycotting any celebration of that kind this month!

I also caught another nasty cold after the "poopey virus" started spreading thru my class. This one was a doosey! I still haven't gotten my voice back completely after it was hijacked without my permission almost a week and a half ago. I finally feel like the brick that was hanging out on my chest has lifted a little. I am sure the trip to the doctors office, medication (which I hate taking), and much needed rest (which I usually refuse) helped. I have decided that my doctor is right, children are an environmental hazard! It seems that no matter how hard I try to stay germ free I just can't block that uncovered hacking cough that gets sprayed my way. I wonder how bad it would have been if I didn't get the flu shot. Well, maybe we just should not go there.

My cookie exchange is tomorrow night and I am so excited! I can't wait to share the cookies I made. Tomorrow is also my office party which coincidentally will be celebrated with a Chinese buffet. It is going to be close but I will make both somehow. Now I know I promised to share the cookie making process but well you will just have to settle for seeing the finished products. I will post the recipes as well.

It has been great catching up tonight on I what I missed rumor wise (absolutely nothing-nada-zilch).

I prefer to keep my rumor opinions to myself, it is the holiday season afterall.
