Re-focusing

Now that I have sufficiently de-stressed, I have hopefully rejoined the world of the "HAPPY". The whole CCAA box worry thing is over. My agency is one of the agencies that pays for the right to view it. They have assured families that we will know what the cut-off is for referrals when they do.

The other plus side is that the Chinese Adoption community is so large that any news leaks. Even if it starts as a mere rumor it makes it around.

Another positive note. A letter has been circulating about wait times. It is not from my agency but still it has raised my hopes that we will receive a referral this year. Of course there is absolutely no way to tell.

However, just the mere thought that we will at least have a photo of our little one for the holidays is BIG.

We will need to travel before the end February 2009 or we will be faced with renewing our I171H again for the third time. I really don't want to do it. I know we will have to be re-fingerprinted in November but I can handle that.

I also feel pretty confident that the Olympics won't effect referrals that much afterall if they are only matching 5 to 7 days how hard can it be to keep that pace up RIGHT! Travel seems to be the one problem during that time and as I don't expect a referral around that time it will not will be a problem for us.

Back to happy thoughts. The Chinese New Year is just around the corner and I have to find fun and easy activities to celebrate in my class. I also volunteered to work the Arts & Crafts table at our local FCC Chinese New Year event. I need to get back in the swing of things, paticipate more, and climb out of the hole I dug myself. I love my FCC events. Being around families who have experienced what I am going thru is important to me. It will give me chance to re-focus my energy into a more positive and constructive way. Its time to jump back on the horse. Hold on it has already been quite a ride.....
