Finally....it's a

girl!!!!

We received the call at 4:15 p.m. and I can not tell you what I have done since I saw our sweet baby’s face. I’m floored, in love, and can’t stop staring at her picture. We both would like to thank you for the support you have all provided, the many hugs, emails, words of encouragement, special surprises that all helped to get us thru our wait. Now for the good stuff:

We will be naming her Anne (Annie) Frances Yan Ai

Chinese name: Fu Yan Ai

Yan Ai (means beautiful love in Chinese) and is her first and middle name.

Fu (last name) is derived from the orphanage. All children placed in this orphanage have the same last name.

The orphanage is in the Jiangxi province.

She was born on 09/13/08 and has just turned 8 months old. The photos were taken on 03/16/09 when she was 6 months old. In China, children are clothed in layers, so she appears bigger than she really is.

As of 03/16/09 she weighed 13.2 lbs. Her height is 24.4 inches. She is a little peanut!

Annie loves to laugh, loves music, playing games, and playing with toys.
She knows her name, can sit on her own, is a moderate sleeper, and knows the difference between a caregiver and a stranger. She is closest to her caregiver.

There is so much more but I just could not write fast enough. We get the rest of the information by FedEx tomorrow. We should travel in 5-8 weeks.

Wow! I’m a mom. Love ya!

Congratulations on your daughter...she is beautiful. My daughter is also from Fuzhou. She is 3 now...she was 7 months when I got her. Don't be surprised if your daughter doesn't realize she has arms due to all the heavy bundling.
