And so we wait....

About this time every month I become glued to the Rumor Queen Site. This is the time of the month when the next group of waiting moms and dads start having waiting labor pains. For some it will be a false alarm, they will be sad, frustrated, and stuck waiting for the next batch of referrals. For others it will be the moment that changes their lives and families forever.

We are not close to referral by a long-shot but it would be nice to see more families receiving referrals as it puts us that much closer to our little one. Right now China has referred families up to August 9, 2005. Rumors are mixed this month with some saying China will refer to August 23rd, or to August 24th, or to August 26th, and one rumor went as far as August 28th. August 24th is a big day, there are many families waiting on that day. It would be great to hear that those famiies have been referred


And then there is conflicting information that some families with later LID's who were DTC earlier than other families may also see their referrals.

It is believed that January and February 2006 LID's are in the review room and that there may even be March 2006 LID's (thats us!) in review. We have to get in and out of review before we can get on line for a referral.

In the meantime I have been trying to stay away from the Internet (somewhat successfully) by limiting my time on and trying to work on more positive constructive tasks. We had our roof done (although the roofers damaged the side porch-another unnecessary project!), looked at colors for the babies room, and have an upstairs bathroom project in the works. I have also started working on Christmas gifts, yes, Christmas gifts, collected enough points at the supermarket for a free Turkey (although I don't want to cook it!), and still finishing up on a secret pal thank you gift for Sheila & Roger.

And so we wait....
