What a week!

This truly was the week from hell. The majority of my little students were out this week sick. A few were diagnosed with the coxsakie also known as "Hand, foot, and mouth disease", a type of coxsackievirus syndrome, which causes painful red blisters in the throat and on the tongue, gums, hard palate, inside of the cheeks, and the palms of hands and soles of the feet.

What is frustrating is that it passes from child to child so easily since it is highly contagious, spread thru saliva, thru the air by sneezing or coughing, and runny noses.

Guess what's going on in my class, teething, drooling, colds, runny noses, and coughing! I haven't felt 100% all week, my Assistant thinks she has it, who knows I probably do too. I am missing my bestfriend's daughter's first birthday because I am so afraid of passing it to her daughter.

So I am not a happy healthy camper today!

But I am wishing that tomorrow that will all change!

On the bright side I was recently asked to take over a slightly older class of little ones (late two's early three's) and worked with the class this past friday. It was a lot of fun! I will miss my little little ones but I am looking forward to the older little ones. Some are even potty trained! Woohoo!

I have a lot of work ahead of me as class management with this older little one class is an issue and getting them to listen is an adventure. Not impossible but definitely an adventure!

I am also lucky because my sister is teaching the same curriculum which will give me many excuses to spend sister time with her!

The best news of all this week:

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Yes!

I am going to be an Aunt to another baby girl. There is a lot of estrogen flowing in my family. I wonder how my nephew who is sandwiched in the middle of all of our girls will handle it. Time will tell...
