Breakthrough!!!

This week I received a special gift from "Minnie" mouse!!! Minnie sent little "Annie" an adorable Minnie Mouse backpack, beach towel, sippy cup, and pull-over beach cover-up dress. (Photos to come later!)We also received a wish with a cute mermaid drawing. I can't wait to see her using all of these beautiful and oh so cute gifts.

Now for the breakthrough....

As you all know I have been trying to identify my secret pals friends and family. So far I have been unsuccessful. Well, until now:)

Tuesday, marked a special birthday. My niece Alyssa turned five! I called to wish her a happy birthday and started to tell her about the special gifts we received. Alyssa (always so cute) tells me matter of fact. "I picked out the backpack, did you like it? I wrapped the gifts too and I'm making a necklace for the baby."

The moment was PRICELESS!!!!!

My nieces, Elise and Alyssa, are so excited about having a baby cousin and I can't wait for them to meet her and for her to meet them!!!

This past Saturday, we celebrated Alyssa's birthday. It was a great time and I was lucky enough to go up Friday night. My niece Elise was having "Auntie Jilly" time (staying at my sister Jill's with a broken toe) allowing me to have "Auntie Kimmy" time with Alyssa. I had the pleasure of putting Alyssa to sleep. I can't tell you how many stories were read or how many stories were told. I lost count! I thought I was being smart and decided to count cows with Alyssa. Well, we counted to 121!! Alyssa, wide-eyed, giggling, smiling, and still AWAKE!! I decided to mess up the count adding different animal, insects, you name it, and Alyssa still smiling and giggling must have caught her second or third wind because as tired as she was, she continued to correct me:) We then tried counting cows with eyes closed. This is Alyssa's idea of counting with eyes closed. Alyssa leaning her hand against her face, looking me eye to eye, smiling, still giggling, counting cows. Well, she didn't go to sleep and my sister came in the room and announced it was time for us both to go to sleep. I was sent to my room!!!

Mike & I also received a special wish from Jill's best friend Kim. Kim, where did you find the time? Kim recently gave birth to an adorable little boy and has two little ones under the age of two. Kim created a scrapbook page for us. It is the first one we have received. The page had a China theme, panda bear, and a slot for a photo. The reverse side had adorable animal fabric attached. I can't wait to post a photo! Thanks Kim:)
