We spent Memorial Day week in Florida. We had a great time and were lucky enough to spend some time with our friends, Carol, Buzz, and Juli-Anne. We went to dinner at a restaurant called the Tarpon Turtle. Behind the restaurant is Lake Tarpon, well known for having alligators, and yes we did see a few. Mostly babies, but you and I both know where there are babies there are mommies!!!! If you look really close you can see the head of one popping out of the water behind us.
We also had an Armadillo sighting and Mike just had to get in picture with one!!
Seeing the amardillo reminded me of a great book. "The Armadillo from Amarillo" by Lynne Cherry. It is a book about an Armadillo that travels around the world sending postcards back home about his travels. The story is so entertaining, for a Children's book it is a must READ!!!!
