Well here I am on a humid night, not quite 85 degrees, with a nice cold glass of Chardonnay called "Fat B@@@@@@". I couldn't resist the opportunity to post a photo since we still have NOT purchased a digital camera. I received the bottle from Rosemary after she heard I called one of my furbabies by that name on those special occasions of aggravation:)
When I post I usually post about the funny things that happen in life but today I'm just a little more serious or introspective...
I sit here, and today my train of thought is more about faith.
Faith in God, family, my marriage, etc...
I'll try not to get to wishy-washy.
Last night I started reading the book "365 Things Every New Mom Should Know" by Linda Davis, that Mr. & Mrs. Snuffy gave us as a gift. The book is really for when the little one gets here but I'm not exactly patient, and I took a sneak peek anyway.
This one quote really hit home
"With man this is impossible, but not with God: all things are possible with God"
-Mark 10:27
This past week has been a hectic one. Rumors of a longer wait along with the realization that not only am I not getting any younger but my parents and in-laws aren't either.
It was a real eye-opener!
I do not consider myself to be the most religious person but I do have a strong sense of faith, and I lean on that faith in times of crisis. If you would have asked me last year, where would I be this year, I know for a fact that where I am is the last place I expected to be. To me the answer is clear. It is God's will. The will to make what at first seemed impossible now possible.
"A Family"
This afternoon my sister "Dee" called to tell me she had picked up a few China related books for Mike & I to read. While searching in Borders for the perfect book a woman overheard her in conversation with a store clerk. "Excuse me, but did you just say that you have a family member adopting from China". Well, my sister who will be the most amazing aunt was so excited, she then went on to explain that I am becoming impatient with the wait. The woman then explained that she had already adopted three daughters from China and that she very well understood my frustrations. She then told my sister the most beautiful thing. She said "Does your sister believe in God? to which my sister replied "Yes". She then stated " Tell your sister to be patient, God has not yet created her daughter's soul but her daughter is coming". They then went on to discuss good reads and eventually moved on to other areas of the bookstore. My sister unable to contain her surprise called me and relayed their conversation. The woman overheard her speaking with me amd wanted to congratulate me. But I was so floored by her comment, I told my sister I just couldn't speak at the moment. Now I wished I had just told her thank you. That one comment re-focused me. It reminded me that everything happens when it is meant to. And not me nor anyone else can change that.
God works in mysterious ways.
I really believe God spoke to me thru her.
So now I not only wish to thank her for stopping to talk to my sister but I wish to thank you God for reminding me just how important the word patience is. It is not enough to understand the definition.
You need to live it.
I learned that lesson today:)

Life can always surprise us.
That is a wonderful moment.

I had this beverage like 7 years ago and loved it then! I am glad to see that it has expanded it's reach to your area. On the same note, I had a beer last night - alone - as I typed a note to you. Sometimes a cold drink just makes everything better!
