This year was very special.
This year all of my brothers and sisters (sister-inlaws/future sister inlaw too!) came along with some very special friends of the family.
It was quite a spectacle.
Why?
Well, I don't think any of us were on time! Ha!
We were to meet at the Red Barn with the white doors.
How many barns do you think we saw on the way?
How many were "Red"?
ALL OF THEM except for one!
Why are barns "Red"? Why? Ask Jilly!
We started out with the idea that we would split up the apples we picked at the end of the day.
What happened?
We all left with our own big bags of apples.
NO SPLITTING TOOK PLACE!
The apples were soo yummy, I ended up with a big ol'tummy ache! We took a look at the pumpkin patch and as you will see were not impressed with the pumpkins. It was an adventure just taking pictures. My battery strength was low and I had to keep turning the camera on and off just to get these photos.
The day did not end there. We went back to my sister's house for a late lunch/dinner. Food galore! Chicken, Cheeseburgers, Mac n Cheese (my favorite), Rice & Beans, Potato Salad, Tuna & Macaroni Salad, Veggies & Dip, Cheese and more Cheese (goody!), Baked Buffalo Wings ala Alex, desserts and more desserts, yummy!
In-between all that eating we played grasp the candy corn with "chopsticks" game, eat a donut off a string, battleship, leaping frogs, and the kids favorite: get ready for Halloween Costume Preview and Trick or Treating! The night ended with my sister, nieces, and I singing while downloading I-tunes! Who could ask for more? We won't go there!
The day was fun all around!
Special thanks to my sister, Dee for all her hard work putting it together!
Love you guys and gals!
Stay tuned for November's get together.....

WOW! What a huge crowd. I hope you had as much fun and the photos show. It looks to have been a chilly day but the fruit seemed tasty!
