Coffee with Dad

How often do you get the chance to sit down with your Dad and just be? Just the two of you? I don't get the oppportunity often but today I hit the coffee jackpot! During my very early lunch break (hint not lunch-time!) I took a drive to my Dad's and had morning coffee with him. One hour passed by so quickly. It reminded me of the times I spent up at Cape Cod on vacation. Every morning I would get up early just for the opportunity to sit with my Dad. It did not matter how tired I was. I would rise and shine with purpose! There was something so special about those mornings. It was okay to talk or just be. But most of all it was okay because I was with my Dad. I want these moments for my little one. Because no matter how old you are, you are at heart a little girl.
