We scheduled our travel consultation with an international adoption pediatric specialist today. The consultation includes an educational component on our daughter's province, prescriptions for travel, and any remaining immunizations we have not had. We will also have access to the doctor 24/7 while in China. I am looking forward to the consultation as it means we are one step closer to baby girl!

So glad you're clear with the NVC! We had a problem getting our stuff to the NVC, too. Our local USCIS office said we hadn't requested that our updated fingerprint info be sent to the NVC. I had no idea I was even supposed to request it; I thought it happened automatically. So suddenly we needed our info to get to the NVC to get a consulate appt, but we couldn't get in touch with the local USCIS. It was maddening, so I completely understand the frustrated you've been dealing with! I have to give kudos to the person in charge at the local office, though, because as soon as we finally got to him directly, our stuff was sent to NVC the same day we faxed our request. Now why couldn't it have been that easy from the start?!
