Woohoo!

Ni Hao from Hong Kong. We are safe and sound and up at what time...an ungodly hour of...3:00 am China time. Unbelievable. We did our best to stay up late, not going to sleep until 10:30 pm but to no avail. I took a chance and decided to try and access blogger and surprise of surprises we can...for now. I also noticed that my attempt to send a blog email failed..oh well.

My sister has a very important job being our ghost blogger and will be blogging more about our travels yesterday.

The highlight of yesterday evening was dinner at McDonalds and supermarket shopping! What a hoot! The first goal outside of lunch was to find a place to buy water. We met another American while getting lunch and he pointed us in the right direction. You really can buy mostly anything you want here. There are so many familiar American items and even though you can't read the writing you can make out what everything is. We are not really sure of the restaurants and have been hesistant to try local cuisine. We will find out more from our agency guide this morning. So far so good. The people are so friendly and helpful and do their best to communicate with us when we ask for assistance. It is so clean here and the water view from the harbor is amazing. We went for drinks (that will have to stop for a while, ya think?)with L and A who are just perfect to have as new friends on their journey. We went to the hotel bar for drinks at this funky little lounge. We laughed alot and then went to McDonalds. It is hard to take a chance on the food when we are so close to getting Annie. Neither one of us wants to get sick.

A funny note, we were freezing in our room and could not work the thermostat to save our life. Guess what Mike just found? The switch that lowers it. It only took us a day!

We are going on a tour today and having Dim Sum for lunch which is like eating a lot of different appetizers. I will try to blog later if I can.

I still can't believe that tomorrow when all of you wake up we are going to be family of three. My heart is so full of love for our little girl.

Wow! Its only 5 am! Guess what I am going to do now. I'm going to get little Annie's bag set up. One less thing to stress about on Sunday.

Sounds like the grand adventure is off to a fun start. We're heading up the road to NC to introduce M to her great grandmother and other relatives tomorrow. It's killing me that I won't have computer access on Sunday morning! I may have to beg & borrow internet time somewhere! :) Can't wait to see those pics of little Annie in your arms!
