Last night and then again today we got our first glimmers of a rumor on a referral cut-off. The rumored cut-off is March 14th. Is it wishful thinking on the part of agencies or a realistic guess? Who knows? All I know is I want to hear that referrals are on their way and that our referral is included. Based on what happened last month, matching reports began 9 days prior to the actual arrival of referrals.
What does that mean?
Based on just last month, referrals may arrive around May 2nd. May 2nd is a Saturday or in China a Sunday.
May 1st, is a Friday, and is the beginning of the Labor Day holiday. The CCAA is closed. Which means referrals will need to be mailed on April 30th to reach the US by then.
Last month referrals were mailed before the Qing Ming Jie holiday which began on April 4th, Referrals arrived on April 3rd. To reach the US, referrals had to have been mailed three days prior to March 31st.
Now what does that mean?
If we follow that pattern, three days prior to May 1st is April 28th.
If referrals are mailed after the holiday, three days after their return on May 4th would be May 7th.
My prediction is anywhere between April 28th to May 7th.
Historically, referrals have been mailed before a holiday.
Historically, referrals arrive within 10 days of a matching rumor.
Keep your fingers crossed, its anybody's guess what the CCAA will do this month.
I am leaning towards the end of next week and hoping hope beyond hope that referrals arrive and we are included.
Have a great weekend!
